The Meeting of 2007 Alumni Took Place at Sumy Theological Seminary
The former students, among whom there are clergy and laity, gathered to mark the 10th anniversary of their graduation in their Alma Mater.
On the 13th of June, 2017 a meeting of the 2007 alumni of Sumy Theological School was held at Sumy Theological Seminary.
On this occasion the Divine Liturgy and the Thanksgiving Service were performed in the seminary church of St. Simeon the New Theologian and Holy Righteous John of Kronstadt.
During the service, the prayer for peace in Ukraine was raised, as well as the funeral prayer for deceased alumni.
Then, there was a tour about the theological seminary, which over the years, as the alumni stated changes and remains the same.
After that, brothers and sisters together with their teachers gathered for a meal, during which they recollected their past, spoke about their achievements, shared happy and unhappy moments. For each of them studying at the theological school is particularly remembered by something very special.
At the end of the meeting the alumni asked the current students of the seminary not to forget their dearest seminary, and to conduct such joyful meetings more often at the seminary.
