Venerable Simeon the New Theologian was glorified like the Petron in Sumy Theological Seminary

On March 25, 2016, the feast day of St. Simeon the New Theologian, in Sumy Seminary named after of His Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr (Sabodan) held the celebration of the feast day.The day before were served great Compline, polyeleos Matins and First hour of Lenten rite, and in the day of the feast day - Hours and the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts.

With the blessing of the Eminence Rector, Archbishop of Sumy and Akhtyrka, the Liturgy of Presanctified Gifts was leaded by the vice-rector on educational and discipline work - monk Antonii (Bondarenko), assisted by the confessor of seminary  - Archimandrite Agaphon (Shostka) and Archimandrite Anastasii (Panov). At the end of the celebration was made the prayer of St. Simeon the New Theologian.
