THE TEACHER AND THE STUDENT OF SUMY THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY TOOK PART IN THE HOLIDAY EVENTS DEDICATED TO THE ANNUAL ACT OF KYIV THEOLOGICAL ACADEMY AND SEMINARY.

On November 8 - 9, 2017 the holiday events dedicated to the day of memory of the Venerable Nestor the Chronicler and all the holy patrons of Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary took place there.

The celebrations started on the eve of November, 8. The Litany for the Faithtful Departed teachers and students of theological schools was conducted at the church of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow". When this service was over the Rector of the Academy Metropolitan Antony of Boryspil and Brovary chaired the traditional prayer service at the relics of St. Nestor the Chronicler at the Exaltation of the Holy Cross church of Lavra.

On the day of the feast His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufrii of Kyiv and all Ukraine celebrated the Divine Liturgy at the Dormition Cathedral of Holy Dormition Kyiv Pechersk (Caves) Lavra (all - night vigil on the eve). Father Superior of Kyiv Pechersk Lavra, Metropolitan of Vyshgorod and Chernobyl Pavel, Metropolitan Panteleimon of Veria and Naousa (Greek Orthodox Church), the Rector of Kyiv Theological schools, Metropolitan Antony of Boryspil and Brovary, chancellor of UOC, Archbishop of Irpen Clement, the head of the Educational Committee of UOC, and a lot of other Ukrainian bishops, teachers, alumni, students and guests of Kyiv Theological schools in the holy dignity served His Beatitude during the divine worship.

With the blessing of His Eminence Rector of Sumy Theological Seminary, the teacher, Archimandrite Anastasy (Panov) and the third - year student Pavel Fedoryshin took part in the celebrations. Archimandrite Anastasy (Panov) congratulated Vladiko Rector of the Academy, Teacher Corporation and students on the Annual Act, and conveyed greetings and presented them with a memorable gift from Vladiko Eulogius, teachers and students of Sumy Theological Seminary.

When the Divine Liturgy was over, His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufrii chaired the Annual Act of Kyiv Theological Academy and Seminary in the assembly hall of Kyiv - Pechersk Lavra.

During these celebrations the student of Sumy Theological Seminary Pavel Fedoryshin was awarded the Decree of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufrii on the appointment of a personal scholarship of the Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church for academic excellence and good behavior.
