Teacher and student from STS took part in the conference "Student’s Science in the religious school"
On March 9, 2016 with the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Onuphriy in Kiev Theological Academy and Seminary held VII Annual Student’s Conference "Student science in the religious school."
The forum was held in 9 sections: biblical, theological, historical, church and practical and others.
With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop of Sumy and Akhtyrka Evlogii the conference was attended by a teacher of Sumy Seminary Archpriest Nikolai Polishchuk and 2nd year student Alexei Kuznetsov which made a presentation.
After the plenary session, the conference continued its work in nine sections.
Participants of the first section of "St. Filaret (Gumilevsky) and the development of local history of the Church"sat on session under the guidance of Associate Professor KTA Igor Hronenko and archimandrite Dosiphej (Mikhailuk).
In the second section, devoted to religion, philosophy, culture and the problems of their interaction, dominated the first vice-rector, professor KTA Archpriest Sergei Yuschik and teacher KTA Anatoly Tikholaz.
In the third section "Biblical science" moderated by Secretary of the Board of Professors - Archpriest Rostislav Snigirev and Archdeacon Georgii Bazyuk.
Section which reserved of consideration of issues "Dogmatic Theology and Patrology" sat under the guidance of Professor, Archpriest Vladimir Savelyev and Archimandrite Pheodosii (Marchenko).
The fifth section discussed the questions of "Moral Theology" under the guidance of associate professor Archimandrite Aleksei (Koval) and monk Pheophan (Medzhidov).
The main theme of the sixth section was to study the history of the Kyiv Theological Schools, and held it under the guidance of vice-rector of Research of KTA&S, Professor Vladimir Burega and Archpriest Vasiliy Yakovchuk.
In the section devoted to the study of topical issues of the History of the Church, dominated teachers of KTA archpriest Vitaly Polishchuk and archpriest Pavel Rafalskiy.
The study of church and practical disciplines ingaged in eight section, which was moderated by Archimandrite Leontiy (Tupkalo) and monk Nazariy (Omeljanenko).
The last, the ninth section was devoted to questions of church law and state law. The moderators of the sections were Archpriest Andrey Ukhtomsky and monk Damaskin (Lebed’).
