Sumy seminary commemorated T.G. Shevchenko

On March 9, 2016, the birthday and the eve of the death of the famous Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko, faculty and students of Sumy Seminary honored his memory by memorial service. With the blessing of the Rector, Archbishop of Sumy and Akhtyrka Evlogii, the prayer of remembrance led by the vice-rector of academical and discipline work, monk Antonii (Bondarenko).

Vice-Rector in his speech said: "The great poet live in his works. His image, the world of thoughts and feelings, aspirations and ideals present of what he wrote, how he enriched the treasury of native and world culture. Eternal memory to him! "
