Sumy seminarians visited the festival of Ukrainian folk songs

On February 15, 2016 with the blessing of the Archbishop of Sumy and Akhtyrka Evlogii, Sumy Professional Center of Food Technology conducted the concert oh Krasnoselskiy Folk Choir under the guidance of V.N.Derkach. This festival collected in the day of the feast of Candlemas full hall of viewers – students from liceum and Sumy seminarians, led by the vice-rector of academical and discipline work and the head of the missionary department monk Anthoniy (Bondarenko). Volunteers of Slobozhansky authenticity in the day of Orthodox youth presented a meeting with a real Ukrainian soul. Artists showed young citizens that the village and the rural culture - not the antipode of the city urban culture, but the other face of national cultural diversity.

   Folk roots - in a concert-dialogue format - this is a new tradition of the center, which greeted the cleric of the Church of St. Martyr Valentina and co-organizer of the concert, Archpriest Anatoly Seletskii. It is engaged in the religious development of young people who studed in professional center. Regular conversations with those who wish to communicate with an Orthodox priest - a good tradition of the institution. However, cultural and educational activities it gives the opportunity to younger generation to join the eternal traditions of Ukrainian people - worship of the Holy Trinity, bringing to God all the best that creates folk art for centuries.
