SEMINARY STUDENTS TOOK PART IN THE MISSIONARY LITURGY.

On September 23, 2017 the Divine Liturgy was conducted at St. Nickolas chapel in the natural boundary "Obraz" near the village of Velikyi Bobrik of Krasnopolya district. Vice - Rector (responsible for teaching and educational work), Archimandrite Antony (Bondarenko) led the Liturgy in the service of Sumy Transfiguration Cathedral cleric, Archimandrite Anastasy (Panov), archpriest Sergey Zelensky, the Dean of Elijah the Prophet parish church in the village of Ugroedy, archpriest Roman Kuleshov, the Dean of Alexander - Nevsky parish church in the village of Grebenikovka. The chorus of the students of Sumy Theological Seminary sang the divine cants at the service.

Before the Liturgy srarted, the Service of Blessing of the waters had been conducted and the akathist to St. Nicholas had been read at the holy spring.

Such missionary service has become the first at this holy place after a 150 - year pause. During the years of the Great Patriotic War some religious processions and prayer services took place near the holy spring but the Divine Liturgy has been conducted for the first at the newly - built St. Nicholas chapel.
