ON THE DAY OF THE MEMORY OF THREE HIERARCHS, THE DIVINE LITURGY IN GREEK WAS CELEBRATED AT SUMY THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY.
On February 12, 2018 on the Day of the memory of ecumenical teachers and holy hierarchs Basil the Great, Gregory the Theologian and John Chrysostom, the Rector of Sumy Theological Seminary, Archbishop of Sumy and Akhtyrka Eulogius celebrated the Divine Liturgy in Greek at the seminary church of St. Simeon New Theologian and Holy Righteous John of Kronstadt.
His Eminence was assisted by the teachers in holy dignity.
Before starting the Divine Liturgy the Right Reverend Rector has ordained the fourth - year seminarians as Readers.
The Divine Liturgy in Greek has become a traditional worship feature of this feast at Sumy Theological Seminary. Litanies and exclamations are proclaimed in Greek as well as the Apostle and the Gospel are read, the Cherubic Hymn, the Eucharistic Canon and other prayers are sung.
Archbishop Eulogius congratulated the teachers and students on the day of the memory of ecumenical teachers and holy hierarchs, and also addressed those who were present with an edifying word.
