In Sumy Theological Seminary hosted a Memorial Day of Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan)

The evening of 23 November 2016 at the chapel of the Theological Seminary Sumy behalf of his Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan) (+ 2014) hosted a memory of blessed, resting Hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine Vladimir.

The 81st birthday of his Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan), his Eminence, the Rector of Sumy Archbishop of Sumy and Okhtyrka Eulogii made memorial service in the chapel of the Seminary co-served by Vice-rector Archimandrite Anthonii (Bondarenko), teachers and students in Holy orders.

Then the celebration was in the Assembly hall of Sumy Theological Seminary. Archbishop of Sumy and Okhtyrka Eulogii, the Rector of STS, shared with a large audience of teachers, students of the Seminary and the people of God their memories of the deceased Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church his Beatitude Metropolitan of Kiev and all Ukraine Vladimir (Sabodan). With special interest the audience listened the information about the period of study, teaching and rectorship of the future Saint of Kiev in Odessa Theological Seminary. For the Sumy diocese particularly memorable period of episcopal Bishop of Chernihiv and Nizhyn of Vladimir (Sabodan), the Manager of the Sumy diocese, in which, despite the ungodly pressures of an atheistic government, was not closed, none Church in Sumy region.

The gift of Sumy Theological Seminary His Eminence gave the Holy Antimension signed by his Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr during his pastoral Ministry in Sumy the Department in 1971 to Peter and Paul chapel of the Church of Archangel Michael in Ahtyrka.

In Sumy Seminary especially revered the memory of his Beatitude Metropolitan Volodymyr. In the auditorium of the Theological school hosted a Museum exhibit dedicated to Vladyka Vladimir. Sumi Seminary strongly believes in the heavenly patronage and intercession of Metropolitan Vladimir, in an effort to educate the future pastors of Christ's Church on the ideals of blessed memory, resting Hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
