General confession Sumy Seminary students

On March 18, 2016, on Friday, the first week of Lent, conducted a general confession of all students of Sumy Seminary.

After reading the rite of the sacrament of Confession, vice-rector for academical and discipline work monk Anthonii (Bondarenko) addressed to the audience with a moral precept, which based on the prayer of St. Ephrem  Sirin showed images of true repentance, spoke on what should be based Christian life, and urged the seminarians to bring genuine repentance, worthy spend the time of Lent, to be happy to meet the Resurrection of Christ.

The student’s Confession took clerics from church of St. Panteleimon in Sumy.

During the Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts all students of theological seminary took part in the Holy Communion.

According to the established tradition of theological seminaries, all students and staff always confess together and take communion several times a year: during the patronal feasts of the church of seminary as a tribute of St. Simeon the New Theologian and St. Ioahn Kronstadtskii, on the eve of the Christmas, the Resurrection, in the days of Christmas lent and Great Lent.
