AN EVENING CELEBRATION IN MEMORY OF HIS BEATITUDE METROPOLITAN VLADIMIR (SABODAN) TOOK PLACE AT SUMY THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY.

On November 23, 2017 in the evening, a celebration dedicated to the ever - memorable hierarch of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Metropolitan Kyiv and all Ukraine took place at His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan) Sumy Theological Semunary.

His Eminence, Rector of Sumy Theological Seminary, Archbishop of Sumy and Akhtyrka Eulogius served together with Vice - Rectors Archimandrite Antony (Bondarenko) and protopriest Eugene Fedenko at the seminary church the Orthodox requiem on the 82nd birthday of His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan).

Then a solemn Act took place in the assembly hall of Sumy Theological Seminary. The teacher of History of Orthodoxy in Ukraine, protopriest Roman Opolonsky presented a report on the topic: "The Preaching Activities of His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan)" to the audience.

Archbishop of Sumy and Akhtyrka Eulogius, Rector of STS thanked father Roman for his informative report, and shared his thoughts and recollections about the ever - memorable Mitropolitan Vladimir's preaching talent with the audience.

Metropolitan Vladimir is particularly honored at Sumy Theological Seminary. There is a museum exposition in the assembly hall of the Theological school dedicated to Vladiko Vladimir. The teachers and the students of the Sumy Theological Seminary firmly believe in prayerful Mitropolitan Vladimir's defendce. The mentors of Sumy Theological Seminary strive to educate future pastors of Christ Church on the ideals of church service of the ever - memorable hierarch of Ukrainian Orthodox Church.
