A MEETING OF THE EDUCATIONAL COMMITTEE AT THE HOLY SYNOD.

On September 18, 2017, with blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy of Kyiv and All Ukraine, a meeting of the Educational Committee of the Holy Synod was conducted in the premises of Kyiv Theologocal Academy. The meeting was chaired by the Head of the Committee, Archbishop of Irpen Clement. The meeting was attended by Rectors and representatives of administrations of all theological seminaries of the OCU (Orthodox Church of Ukraine). With the blessing of His Eminence Archbishop of Sumy and Akhtyrka Eulogius, Archimandrite Antony Bondarenko), Vice - Rector (responsible for teaching and educatinal work) of Sumy Theological Seminary attended the event.

The participants discussed some issues dealing with organization of the educational process in the 2017 - 2018 academic year and analyzed the results of the entrance campaign.

Archbishop Clement informed the participants about the results of the work of the Comission for the Recognition of Diplomas of the Higher Theological Education Institutions, which acts according to the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine order.

Vice - Rector of Poltava Missionary Theological Seminary, Bishop Veniamin of Novosanzhar spoke about the consequences of the webinar organized by the Educational Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church with the participation of representatives of educational theological institutions from all the countries that are parts of the Russian Orthodox Church's canonical responsibility.

During the meeting, the submissions and personal files of the nominees for the award of the personal scholarship of the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine were examined, and according to which the Head of the Educational Committee was requested to submit a report addressed to His Beatitude Metropolitan Onufriy.
