The entrance exams were held at Sumy Theological seminary

On the 31st of August, 2017 the entrance exams were held at His Beatitude Metropolitan Vladimir (Sabodan) Sumy Theological Seminary.

Prior to the examinations a prayer service was conducted at the seminary church of St.Simeon New Theologian and Holy Righteous John of Kronstadt on beginning a good deed.

The Examination Board consisting of entire teacher staff was headed by the Rector of the Seminary, the Archbishop Sumskiy and Akhtyrskiy Eulogiy.

Applicants from various regions of Ukraine, who expressed a strong desire to become STS students, wrote essays on the proposed topics. They showed their knowledge in such disciplines as Sacred Biblical History, Doctrine of the Church, Orthodox Liturgy, their skills of church singing and reading in Church Slavonic.

Traditionally, all the applicants were interviewed to assess consciousness and seriousness of their choice to become pastors of the Church of Christ and the level of their churchliness.

Upon discussing the results of each applicant the Pedagogical Council of the Theological Seminary in which officials and teachers took part approved the final decisions on the full-time and distance department students.
